The existing Academy car can be converted simply & very cost effecitvely to be legible to race in the SuperGraduate race series, the only requirement is to change the Avon CR322 tyres to Yokohama A048 tyres, which are available direct from George Polley (see links page for details). However, there are further options to consider for the benefit of the vehicle.

Adjustable rear anti-roll bar - making handling adjustments simple and quick, additional 'connectors' can be supplied to make changing settings achievable in, literally, seconds. McMM non 'cat' race exhaust - initially designed to mitigate the costs of replacing the 'cat' exhaust (costs £650) following racing incidents it also provides approx 2 additional bhp. McMM race spec front brake pads - proving to be successful with a large proportion of the club racers due to the balance of grip when combined with the rear spec pads. McMM race spec rear brake pads - again, an excellent combination of braking materials for circuit racing. Flat floor setup - particularly with the change in tyre profile we recommend the vehicle being 'set up' for the drivers, including corner weighting, camber, tracking, ride height, etc. As setting up a vehicle can sometimes be relatively simple we do not charge a 'flat fee', however we guarantee that the cost will never be exceeded. Forged pistons - the standard Rover 'K' Series cast piston is prone to cracking of the piston 'land' between rings, generally this is due to over-revving on the down change, but also due to the sustained high revs that racing produces. As a result we have offered (since 2004) an optional 'non performance enhancing' forged piston as a reliability upgrade. Head refresh - following a season of racing it is always worth considering a refresh and optimisation in preparation for the coming season. Including oil & filter change, coolant, head gasket, etc.Note - when forged pistons & head refresh are combined there is a saving of labour & parts amouting to £199.00
