SuperGrad to MegaGrad race specification
Folowing research by McMM the changes over the closed season have turned the 2006 specification MegaGrad into a 150bhp race car. In addition to the increase in power torque has increased and the 'tell tale' drop off in power at the upper end of the rev range has effectively disappeared. Following consultation with existing drivers the club settled on a maximum spend limit of £1000 for the change in specification between 2005 and 2006 class, McMM achieved this for less than £500. Thus ensuring that the vast majority of existing drivers remained racing with the Club.
We are currently offering the upgrade package during the 2006 season;
'M300' engine upgrade - including M300 camshafts, M300 inlet manifold & throttle body, remapping of ECU, replacement of hydraulic tappets with solid, upgrading of valve retaining caps, widetrack suspension, aeroscreen, oil & filter change, head gasket, coolant change AND head refresh/optimisation

Forged Pistons - if you do not already have these fitted then we would strongly recommend them due to the higher rev limit that the M300 conversion provides. When carried out at the same time as the above conversion the cost is reduced due to labour & parts savings. Rear adjustable anti-roll bar - enabling swift changes to set up Race specification springs Front adjustable roll bar - 'Freestyle' manufactured which allows simple changes to settings, saving time on the traditional 'removal' of radiator to gain access to roll bars. McMM non 'cat' race exhaust - provided an additional 8bhp to the 2005 spec race engine McMM race spec front brake pads - proving to be successful with a large proportion of the club racers due to the balance of grip when combined with the rear spec pads. McMM race spec rear brake pads - again, an excellent combination of braking materials for circuit racing. Flat floor setup - particularly with the change in tyre profile we recommend the vehicle being 'set up' for the drivers, including corner weighting, camber, tracking, ride height, etc. As setting up a vehicle can sometimes be relatively simple we do not charge a 'flat fee', however we guarantee that the cost will never be exceeded.£799.00
